A Journey Through the Book (Richard Liveth Yet) – Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem

In my novel, I describe various places that Richard III visits in the modern world, so I thought I would publish them here so anyone who has read the book can more easily imagine the scene.

One of the places they visited in Nottingham was Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, which is said to be the oldest pub in England, dating from the 1100s.  The wall, cut from the rock of the hill behind it, are even older. In any case, it would have benn in existence in Richard’s time and it still survives today.
