A Journey Through the Book (7) – Barley Hall, York

While in the North of England, Richard and Rose visited York and one of the places they saw was Barley Hall, the oldest parts of which date from about 1360. A new wing was added in about 1430. It later became the home of William Snawsell goldsmith, Alderman and Lord Mayor of York.  It is entirely possible that Richard III visited this house during the years he lived in Yorkshire.
