A Journey Through the Book (11) – Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Site

Well, did anyone notice the deliberate mistake? Yes, I missed out number 11! Well here it is. Richard and Rose visit the Bosworth Battlefield site and, in particular, they stop at King Richard’s Well, where Richard III was thought to have taken his last drink before he was killed in the Battle.  Richard is moved by the white roses strewn inside the well, in remembrance of him

They also visited the Battlefield Site Centre, where Richard explained to Rose about the cannon shot found at the battefield

The memorial sundial commemorates the fallen of both sides at the Battle of Bosworth.

The standard of Richard III is flown at the site along with that of Henry Tudor but, for Richard’s re-interment, Richard’s standard only was flown.
